Regarding Cook’s concert, Do you know why they didn’t realese 1000 ticket and why it’s 99%? A friend of mine tried to get tickets and it had been sold out for weeks, at the venue and ticketmaster. But the stats show there were a few tickets. How does this work? They hold some tickets?
Note from StageHand: Karl, I am perplexed about these totals as well. In fact, I phoned the venue the morning of the concert and was told that he was sold out. Both Billboard and PollstarPro reported 838 of 843 tickets sold, so I guess we’ll have to call it 99%.
Looking through the archives, I see some Non-Idol Alums that had only 843 tickets available, so that number is a known configuration. They include: Cross Canadian Ragweed, Edwin McCain, Flogging Molly, Hank Williams III, Ice Cube, Lucinda Williams, Matisyahu, Mos Def, Musiq, Pat Green, Plain White T’s, Robert Earl Keen, Saliva, Sammy Hagar, Sara Bareilles, Sebastian Bach, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Slightly Stoopid, Stephen Marley, Susan Tedeschi, Tesla, Toots & The Maytals, TV on the Radio, and Yonder Mountain String Band.
